THANK YOU

For making the Wizarding Day 2025

SO SPECIAL!

Harry Potter fans of all ages gathered in the Peak District town of Wirksworth on Sunday 5th October 2025 for a day of magical activities. Building on the success of previous years, the day has become the largest Harry Potter fan event in the UK.

Adults and children descended on the town dressed as their favourite characters to enjoy themed food and activities and to meet other fans.

As well as a day of fun, the event raised funds for good causes. Wizarding Day has raised a grand total of £9,000 for Wirksworth Colts Football Club, the Josh Stockell Community Skatepark, the Fire Fighters Charity, Aquabox and the Wirksworth Pre-School Group.

Wirksworth Wizarding Day 2018 was a huge success as 7,000 fans of Harry Potter descended on the town on Saturday 20 October. The event started as an idea by Potter fans Bill Bevan and Sally-Anne Swindell, and turned into one of the Peak District’s biggest and friendliest family events.
